Hi, Well would look at this. IBM has two computing product lines that make money (AS/400 and S/390), which that don't hype; and two that bleed money out of the bottom line (Netfinity and RS/6000). So which one do they hype? - See next: >http://yahoo.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-2218995.html Given the fact that IBM has a large presence in Rochester, Minnesota - the home of the Mayo Clinic - maybe we could get a good deal on gift certificates for lobotomies for the braindeal people that make these decisions. As a stockholder, my sentiments are: God forbid that this company should make big bucks. Clearly senior management either doesn't want this, or is too challenged to realize that this is the answer. BTW, IBM refuses to use AS/400 to run their business, they use other platforms, because they have lots of money so squander. Microsoft, which recently dumped their 23 AS/400s for 1200 in-house NT servers, has abandoned their in-house strategy to go with a service bureau that is running them on 23 AS/400s. (KGB report: Do not check the serial numbers. Anyone who checked the serial numbers will be fitted for cement overshoes. Much thanks are attributed to the KGB.)
