We have recently upgraded from a 200 to a 170. This new beast can with an UPS for CPM. The old 200 was plugged into a BEST UPS which ran for over an hour and also powers routers, hubs modems and CSU/DSUs. Since the IBM UPS only ran the 170 for a short time, we plugged the IBM UPS into the BEST UPS. We have been monitoring the BEST UPS with the AS400 for years. Now with the same cable that ran from the BEST to the 200 plugged into the 170, we don't get any single. We also have the CPM cable attached between the IBM UPS and the 170. Does anyone know if the pin outs changed for the UPS port between the 200 and 170? If so, I need a new cable. If not, does the CPM attachment override the UPS cable attachment? If so, I can no longer monitor the BEST UPS with the AS400. Thanks in advanced. Christopher K.
