Not to mention additional monies you could earn speaking to User Groups? 
Not that they can afford to pay more than a couple of hundred dollars, but 
if it sold a couple of books it'd be worth the time I'd bet.

I'm also finding that the more people use my tools, the more I could 
easily
do it full time if I charged a little support.

It's possible.  You just have to have the right products, support, etc..
