I know nothing about this topic. Never tried it. Didn't know about the "Tasks Menu" interface until a few weeks ago... The "More Cool Stuff Than Ever" redbook (SG24-5190) says you need *SECOFR and *SECADM authority to sign on as administrator for the HTTP server (on page 50). So, if you are trying to sign on with a wimpy profile, you might try a more powerful one... Does anyone know what *SECOFR authority might mean? I understand what *SECADM --special-- authority is, but there isn't a *SECOFR --special-- authority... Seems a little murky to me. The sentence in the redbook says: "Sign on with a user that has *SECOFR and *SECADM authority." >From: Ted Barry <TBARRY@smtpgate.centralsan.dst.ca.us> >Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2000 12:57:36 -0700 > >I'm trying to start the HTTP server *ADMIN instance (STRTCPSVR >SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)), but the system just stays input >inhibited. > >It also does this for STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP).
