  • Subject: Printing from AS/400 to Konica photocopier/printer

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to set up a Konica 7060 as either a *LAN printer or a remote outq.
It's a photocopier that's networked and has a print server (small PC attached).
I'm having communications problems with either method (*LAN devtype or RMTOUTQ).
The Konica is definitely using TCP/IP and I can ping the address. It's using
port 10001, which I've put into the DEVD. I have three questions:

1) Is there some reason why I shouldn't be able to use IP printing to a print
server like this? I'm assuming it should work the same way as an HP external
Jetdirect box, but I could be wrong.

2) What manufacturer type and model do you use for Konica?

3) When creating a remote outq, is there somewhere to specify the port if using
*IP as a connection type?

Many thanks in advance

Adam Driver
