We were told that a couple of weeks ago, too. by an IBMer in a 
presentation so the comment of being 30% bigger than the largest 390 must 
have some official sanction.

A later comment was more interesting though.  "Think about that folks, and 
what it means about the AS/400's future.  It is very telling that Armonk 
has allowed the AS/400 to become larger than a 390.  That has never been 
allowed before."

I heard someone say this weekend I think it was Bob Cancilia that
IBM'ers claim the AS/400 is 30 something % more powerful than the most
powerful 390. 
Ask Bob on the Ignite/400 list.
