I think I see where my message might have been confusing, sorry guys.  I need to find a certain string WITHIN a MEMBER, not within a member name.  I think this would just help me find a certain string in the member name.

*REPLACE)                                            
  
  Then perform an OPNQRY or SQL across QTEMP/MEMBERS.

Search against the field &MLNAME(MEMBER NAME).  If you
need sample code please let me know.
