RE: AS/400 Lobby(rapidly becoming a totally unrelated, off topic, political rant)

I guess so, the track record of people who are smart enough and capable
enough to be President has been very poor, in my lifetime.  Compare Nixon
and Johnson with the others who've held the office since Truman.  Jimmy
Carter was the only one with any intelligence, and he was too nice to
succeed.  The others could all have enjoyed stimulating discussions with Dan
Quayle, although some authorities believe that Eisenhower was only
pretending to be an idiot.

As a disclaimer, the above has nothing to do with ideology, either mine, or
the former Presidents'.  I'm only talking about my opinion of their native
abilities.
