We've been kinda burnt on this. Granted just because you have butts in seats doesn't necessarily make them more productive. However, when it comes to evaluations, rating people, testing people and what not you start up a firestorm. Just look at past discussions on this mailing list. No CPF messages - See Simon's recent example. User satisfaction - So the security person gives everyone *ALLOBJ - those people are happy. Project completion - It's the other person's fault - feature creep! feature creep! Time on terminal - I was talking to users and doing other research. There could be one person on site that would take care of user interaction and relay it to the part-timers or telecommuters. I have tried to find part time work from time to time and always came up blank. Seems most companies want you all or nothing. More Jobs for Skilled AS400 programmers than Bodies to fill them. The consultants are filling the gap and making a bundle. Come to Northern California and see for your self. Christopher K. In fact, there are several projects that they are considering doing on another platform because they are scared they won't be able to find RPG skills although we have told them that we can take someone with programming experience and teach them RPG. Your message makes me wonder whether we really can't find any RPG talent or if they aren't looking very hard in order to use it as an excuse to move away from the AS/400 or maybe nobody wants to live in Montana. Just wondering.....
