Are you running a FTP Server on your PC?  If not, you can download one for free
@ www.tucows.com (try WS-FTP'd).

It is a simple installation and configuration as far as setting up the server on
your PC...

Another thing to consider is whether or not you have a static IP on your PC.
The reason I am bringing this up is because if you are writing a program
to automate the ftp transfer and you are hardcoding the IP... you will have
problems...
