Change the job to have CHGJOB LOG(4 00 *NOLIST).  Or set it in the job
description.

The system generates a joblog regardless.  This setting automatically
deletes the log if the job ends normally.  Setting the LOG parameter to
anything else will impact system resources by having the system roll through
the joblog and delete the entries that are less than the severity level (the
second number - "00" in this case) indicated.  (Major system hog if the log
is large and you're going to delete the log anyway!)
