Yeah, I was rather curious about this also. You say that you "have V4R3 without PTFs". Don't know if we're suffering from a language gap here, but it is hard to fathom how anybody could run OS/400 without _any_ PTFs installed. In fact, if you were to ask IBM about your problem (assuming you had the support contract to do so), the first thing they'd tell you is to get current on your PTFs, then see if you still have the problem, and then call them back if you do. Can't help on your comm question. There are several on this list who can. It would be interesting to see what they say about the PTF issue. - Dan Bale > -----Original Message----- > From: Allen, Stu [SMTP:sallen@fellowes.com] > Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2000 7:16 AM > To: 'MIDRANGE-L@MIDRANGE.COM' > Subject: RE: Windows 98 dial-in to V4R3 > > Can't help with your question, but out of interest, why do you not want to > install any ptf's? > > Regards, > Stuart > > Stuart Allen > European Systems Analyst, Fellowes > mailto:sallen@fellowes.com > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Toth Istvan Zoltan [SMTP:tiz@ludens.elte.hu] > > Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 9:02 PM > > To: MIDRANGE-L@MIDRANGE.COM > > Cc: tiz@ludens.elte.hu > > Subject: Windows 98 dial-in to V4R3 > > > > > > Hi! > > > > I have a little problem with PPP.
