Probably other ways of doing this, but this is what I use on the systems
that do not have a package.  Hope it helps.

SNDDST TYPE(*MSG)  TOUSRID((XXXX YYYY) DSTD(Email to XXXX) MSG(This is my
message)

This assumes that you have directory entry XXXX YYYY defined and have added
the email address via an F19 so that the SMTP userid would be something like
jsmith and the domain name would be something like company.com.  

Requirements:   QSMTPQ distribution queue type RPDS pointed to remote
location name of TCPIPLOC
                Routing entry of TCPIP pointing at QSMTPQ distribution queue
                SMTP attributes has system name of TCPIP
                QSNADS subsystems has to be started
