I'm working on a project that involves connecting an NT based tool to the
400. It needs an ODBC connection. The guy from the vendor has never seen a
400 and I'm not well versed in ODBC. (We complement each other perfectly.)
I've played with ODBC a little and have had good luck importing small files
into Excel, Brio, and Crystal Reports. When we try to set up the ODBC
connection between the NT app and the 400 it dies. The message returned
to the NT app is the CPF5129, although it looks like that was really in
response to the MCH3601 a bit higher up.
We're on v4r3. I'm not sure of the PTF level. I'm willing to entertain any
theory including cosmic rays and planetary conjunction.
