Hi, we have just started to use ILE functionality (we're a bit behind here in Ireland) and I am currently evaluating RPG4 editors so that we can (finally) say goodbye to SEU. I had intended to evaulate Aldon's Flex/EDIT but ran into problems at the first step. The Aldon techie guy has told me that Flex/EDIT will only work with Client Access (we use Rumba) - although the prerequisites state either Client Access or a 100% compatible alternative (which Rumba allegedly is). Anyway that's the end of that evaluation. I have briefly seen CODE/400 in action and would very much like to give it a proper evaluation. I have read the readme doc on the download page and it gives no indication as to whether the same restriction to Client Access applies. Given that CODE/400 is an IBM product it seems possible. If anyone can shed any light on this I'd be obliged (I'd prefer to find out now rather than needlessly downloading in excess of 100mb). Also, I have heard of another editor called Code Studio, but have no idea who produces it or where to go for an evaluation copy. Any ideas? Finally if anyone is using any other editors that they can recommend, please do. Thanks. Kevin Corcoran.
