try changing WAITFILE value on QIWS/QDORDSPF. I'm not sure it will help, but
slowish AS/400s do tend to have this sort of a problem. Your configuration
is TCP/IP, and I had it with pure SNA/APPC. In my case it was not that
critical and retry always helped.
