Hi, I agree with you Jerry. I am also convinced that having something free (or with a small fee) is not always the best choice. Sometimes it works well, most of the times not. However, it is worth to have a try. If, what they give you free, fit your needs, why not? By the way, the original question was different. He was asking some suggestions or ideas to work with CA express in the way he wanted (just the 5250 emulator and nothing else). I cannot give him any good, really working suggestion. We also have a TCP/IP 5250 emulator solution. It is not free, but it is only a 60 US$ per seat. If anyone is interested, there is a 30 days evaluation (full function) copy available on our site. The name of the product is Net-2000. the site is: www.compumaster.com Regards, Franco > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com > [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Jerome Draper > Sent: Thursday, May 04, 2000 9:08 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: CA Expess TN5250 terminal emulation > > > IMHO, > > I certainly know that there is lots of interest in freeware > and shareware > tn5250 emulators and that there are fat, dieting, thin, and java based > green screens.
