My former boss was the ops manager at Amazon. Though she grew up with S/3x and AS/400, when she went there in 1996 Amazon was a DEC / Unix shop. I just tried to hail her and she's not there anymore... jte P.S. (When she went there she tried to bring me along... but I didn't want to commute all the way to downtown Seattle to do unix for some internet startup that couldn't make a profit, no matter how many shares they were offering. Pretty smart huh?) jpcarr@TREDEGAR.COM wrote: > > Can anyone confirm/deny the rumor about Amazon.com converting from some > type of NT system to AS/400? > > John Carr > > +--- > | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com > +--- -- John Earl johnearl@400security.com The PowerTech Group 206-575-0711 PowerLock Network Security www.400security.com -- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
