One basis for this rumor may be their tools site.  Amazon bought Tool Crib of
North America.  Tool Crib as we know was created and running on an AS/400.  I
haven't heard if Amazon got stupid and made that site change due to standards
and consitency....if they haven't then that site should still be running on an
AS/400 and ...........

Clearly, the rumor is suspect.
