To map to the IFS (or QDLS, etc), you must have NetServer running. _Client Access Express for Windows - Setup V4R4_ (SC41-5507-00), pages 29-30 has these details. After NetServer is running, you must use Operations Navigator to create "shares" for people to view. (At least this is how I did it.) You should have installed all OpsNav components when you installed CAE. Go into OpsNav, then your AS/400, then File Systems. Right click on File Shares (under File Systems), then Open AS/400 NetServer. Click on AS/400 Netserver (in the new window) if it's not open, then Shared Objects. All users running CAE have the opportunity to map to these shares. From here, you can create a share: Right click on SHared Objects, then New, then File. In my example, I created a share name (no quote marks on any of these values) called "AS400HTML", with description "AS/400 HTML documents", path name was "/home/httpd/" (where I have directories html, cgi-bin, images, etc.) Another way to create shares is to go under Integrated File System, navigate your way to the directory to share (/home/httpd), then right click on that directory, then Sharing, then New share. Some stuff is filled in already. But, after moving to CA Express Client v4r4m0 (with SF60796 applied), I can no longer see, nor use, the IFS. When I put CA v3r2m0 back, my ability to use the IFS comes back (go figure). I need to have Express load and the ability to use the IFS (ex: administrating Domino). My AS/400 is running v4r4. Is there a PTF or some setting that needs changing (like a port number)? Your help is appreciated. Thank You, Joe Lewis Director of Information Technology I.
