Hi all,

I need a major help here because of my very limited knowledge. Here is my
question. If I want to connect to SQL servers outside AS/400, what are the
things I need to do? I see some examples to access AS/400 files through PC
env where we can write a 'C' or JAVA program to update AS/400 files. But, I
have to update a SEQUEL table from AS/400 from the data in one of the AS/400
files. What kind of connections are necessary? Can I do this through
SQLRPGLE? Since CA/400 has ODBC, can we write 'SQL-Connect' and other
similar commands in SQLRPGLE somehow? Or do I need to use VARPG for this?
Do I need to write JAVA programs and use JDBC instead? What is easy and
best way here?

Thanks & Regards,
Sudha
