You mean like:
PARM       KWD(PWD) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10) DSPINPUT(*NO)
If so, can you front end this with a command?
I know commands are falling out of favor because C/S development 
tools like Code/400 are so far behind and are limited in command 
prompting compared to more state of the art tools like SEU.

Do you suppose there is a chance for a data field of type "password"? Date 
fields, time fields, numeric fields, alpha fields exist, why not a 
password type that knows how to show as asterisks, is encrypted and stored 
safely, and is usable by programmers?
