I'm not sure about this, but I had a similar problem after upgrading to V4R4. You might put the long system name associated with the IP address you are using. ie. 10.1.3.2 mysystem.mydomain.com Laurin Bruck Technical Infrastructure pmi Mortgage Insurance 415-291-5329 415-393-6412(fax) >>> "Theo Soppe" <theo@hotobjects.nl> 7:24:26 AM 4/27/00 >>> I'm setting up WAS to use the AS/400 directory server. We use OS/400 V4R4M0, WAS 2.0, latest SF99027 PTF. The problem is that the bind-password seems to be "forgotten" by WAS. When I type the information (including the bind-password) in the WAS Administration tool, save the changes, and reload the information, the bind-password is empty. Also, the joblog of the QDIRSRV job shows error GLD0120: Bind error with Directory Services server. (Second level: Cause . . . . . : Distinguished name (dn) root failed to bind with the Directory Services server 007642/QDIRSRV/QDIRSRV. Recovery . . . : This condition may occur when the dn or password is incorrect. The server will continue to operate normally. ) Any ideas of how to solve this? T.i.a.
