I think it's really telling him that "it's not a SAVE file". To get around
this, it is necessary that the save file be created BEFORE FTPing the file
to the AS/400. If the save file does not exist, FTP builds it as a physical
file, and the restore then fails.

Subject: Restoring objects on a French Machine

I zipped a save file, (saved at v4r2mo), and emailed it to a
technically
advanced user, (at v4r3m0) in France. The save file
contains program and file
                objects.
I sent step by step instructions on how to unzip the file
and FTP it to the
AS/400 but the user is claiming the RSTLIB is failing with
an error that the
file is not a physical file. DSPSAVF command yields the
same error.
I think the user did not follow my instructions.
However, to cover my bases let me ask, is it possible the
library will not
restore because it came from a machine using the English
language to a machine
using the French language? I wouldn't expect that to be a
problem but I have
                to ask.
Any other ideas on why this would fail?
I used the same instructions to load the objects from a
v4r1m0 machine to a
v4r4m0 machine with no problem, both those machines are here
in the USA.

                Thanks in advance,

                Tom Bishop
