Hi D,
        I usually use Go Ptf, opt 8 and say no to the IPL, which I then
schedule for overnight.  I haven't had problems with it so far.

From recent discussion on the list, it appears that
many of you do a load/apply or an opt. 8 off the PTF
menu (with no powerdown) of your single or group PTFs
while users are on the system.  I have almost always
done the PTF operations in restricted state, due to
warnings in IBM instructions not to have users on the
system while doing PTF commands. Are these warnings
only because of a possible IPL?  Is it OK to do PTF
operations (scheduled for delayed application @ next
IPL) with users on?
