So, maybe it doesn't matter about the justification of the numeric fields. I just tried importing my comma delimited file with left justified numerics into Excel (a fine formatting and page layout tool <g> I have a friend who produces some very nice looking one page reports for executive consumption by pasting AS/400 spool files into Excel.) and it was perfectly happy with them. I thought the padding would confuse the target application. If that's the case, I'm almost completely happy with CPYTOIMPF.
