With Rochester's "subtle" dropping of the Firewall
for AS/400 product (old news), I cannot understand why they never mentioned it's
own, more popular, IBM Secureway Firewall product as a replacement. It runs on
AIX or NT, was around long before AS/400 Firewall, has many more features, and
could easily be packaged on a dedicated box. So it sits on the network outside
rather than inside the 400. Is Rochester too stuffy to promote an IBM product
from another division? Or is the IBM Secureway Firewall going next? BTW-They are
still running the AS400 Firewall classes on the satellite network. Jim
