  >> It even gets one better: I was reviewing the AS/400 Technical Conference
agenda coming up in June. There is not one session on PASE and what it brings
to the table as it stands right now in the conference agenda.

Coupla points.

First it seems to me that IBM have made it clear that they view PASE as a
Software Vendor porting platform _not_ as something an end-user would target.
That's not to say that it won't go there in the future (although I have my
doubts) but that is not the current intent. Remember that when Frank Soltis
talks about this kind of stuff he's talking about theoretical possibilities -
and that's a very long way from what might be in plan at the Lab.

Second, the Tech Con agenda is a long way from final yet - they have to leave
room for announcements etc. that will occur between now and the conference. You
won't see those on the agenda either.

Given these points I would be surprised to see anything on the agenda. I
suspect that PASE was on the COMMON agenda only because there were BPs there
that IBM wanted to get the message. The Tech Con is not where a BP would
normally go for this kind of education - they'd go to the Forum event in
Rochester, La Hulpe, or Tokyo (I believe the Rochester event is on as I write
this).
