Yes you are right about using the =, but you can not use a hardcoded workstation id with =. i.e. IMTD001/= will not give a connection while &USERN/= works fine. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: RE: fun with virtual devices QPADEV* Author: "Sims; Ken" <KSIMS@SOUTHERNWINE.com> at Internet Date: 29/03/00 14:30 Hi Colin - >I have had a look at this ability and have found one big problem >in that it takes the number of sessions you are creating on the >PC so if you have more that one system it will work in the following >way on system A I opened two sessions a and b on system B I opened >two sessions and got c and d. This of course will change if you open >system B first. This is a good start from IBM but needs refinement. This shouldn't be a problem if you use an equal sign rather than an asterisk at the end of the workstation ID. In this case the sequence will be 1-9 then A-Z, but it will use the first device available, not the session identifier. If this works as it is supposed to, the first session on system A should have a device name ending in 1 and so should the first session on system B. Ken Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, Inc.
