Yes, pretty straightforward. We use generic entries for different device
descriptions, so QPADEV* gets one-level of access and other (APPC) devices
get different access.

CRTDUPOBJ of QCMN and change that. When you can, start your new subsystem
and end QCMN. You might find that you can end QCMN controlled and no new
users will be able to use it, and your new subsystem will start taking over
requests.

Then of course you'll have to change your QSTRUPPGM so that it doesnt
restart QCMN at the next IPL.

NB If it seems to be cocking up and you cant restart QCMN until it kicks
everyone off, duplicate QCMN again and start that subsystem and you'll have
a stop gap solution until the users go home.
