For what it's worth: When we moved a system from OS/400 V3R2 to V4R4, the first question ASC asked when I called to get AbstractProbe upgraded was: "what security level are you running". I told them "40" -- they sent a CD that we have been using since we went live last month. ************************* >Is there anybody out there who is running Abstract/Probe+ on V4R3 at >Security Level 40? > >Our current Sec Lvl is 30, but we are logging object domain Authorization >Failures when using certain features of Abstract/Probe+. Which means that we >could not move to Sec Lvl 40 and still use these features. > >I have contacted ASC about it, but they have done nothing more than >acknowledge my reporting of the problem. The last time I heard, ASC was making many of their products Level 40 compliant. Their original position was that IBM API's performed so poorly, they did not want to make their stuff L40 compliant, but clearly they felt market pressure, and upgraded their SEQUEL product.
