The Gartner Group's survey showed the AS/400 as having 5 hours unscheduled
down time a year and the NT/Intel boxes as having 27 hours per year.
We have NT boxes running multiple applications as well as the AS/400 but the
NT boxes still go lala occasionally.
Most NT shops that I have been in have backup servers doing replication. By
doing that the users don't seen downtime but the downtime still goes in to
the statistics.
