The Gartner Group's survey showed the AS/400 as having 5 hours unscheduled down time a year and the NT/Intel boxes as having 27 hours per year. We have NT boxes running multiple applications as well as the AS/400 but the NT boxes still go lala occasionally. Most NT shops that I have been in have backup servers doing replication. By doing that the users don't seen downtime but the downtime still goes in to the statistics. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Walter [mailto:mwalter@netrax.net] Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2000 8:20 AM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: as400 as exchange server We have 2 NT boxes running SQL Server +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
