Thanks, Jim, that does show the two different orders of the fields.  I see the
physical it's built over, QSYS/QADBIFLD, is set to re-use deleted records, and
this SYSCOLUMNS view has no index so there's no guarantee about what order the
records will be in.  Swell.  I guess IBM doesn't think that it's supposed to
matter.  Hum, I guess I've got to go back to the folks here that don't like it
and find out whether it's a show-stopper or just a nuisance.
