The ICF file code is

A INDARA
A RCVENDGRP(48 'ENDGRP')
A RCVTRNRND(58 'TRNRND')
A RCVDETACH(68 'DETACH')
A R CMNREC
A DATA 350
A R DETACH DETACH

and the main portion of RPGLE code is

FZZZZZZ IF E DISK
FYYYYYY O E WORKSTN
F INFDS(FEEDBK)
F MAXDEV(*FILE)
F DEVID(PGMDEV)
F INFSR(ERROR)
C 'XXXXXXX' ACQ YYYYYY 98
C IF *IN98 = '0'
C MOVEL 'XXXXXXX' PGMDEV

 * READ AND SEND UNTIL EOF REACHED
C *IN90 DOWEQ '0'
C READ ZZZZZ 90
C *IN90 IFEQ '0'
C WRITE CMNREC
C END
C ENDDO
C WRITE DETACH

This piece of code was working fine for bysynchronous connection. It does
not for asysnchronous connection.

Is it to do with some hardware/configuration problem?

Are you acquiring the device in the program with the AQU op code or is the
aquire in the ICF file when you compile it?

We had a bisynchronous connection between two AS400. Now we need to switch
over to Asysnchronous connection. I have created the line/Conctoller/device
description for Async connection. The parameters are more or less same as
that for bysync.. connection. But the RPG program fails while acquiring the
device.

Is there anything that I am missing?

Thanks
Shishir
