John:
The PC you are trying to connect to.... is it running an FTP server? You
will need to have the AS400 FTP to an FTP server on your network. If that
PC has network drives attached, then you can FTP to the network drives as
well. You may also want to look at the Netserver, it will allow you to map
drives on the 400 on your PC in Network Neighborhood.

Subject: FTP - 400 to PC

I'm having trouble with something very simple:

FTP from mainframe to AS/400 - works great. Check log file via CL & all
that.
Want to FTP file to shared H drive on a PC server.

I can start an FTP session & log on to the server just fine; I cannot get
to directories. DIR & LS come back empty. Things like H:\Apptpak\download
are rejected - not found or invalid.

It's gotta be something blindingly obvious but I just can't see it.
Anybody got any suggestions??

John in Jacksonville
