Subject: Join Logical like WRKQRY's join type '3'

I have a requirement to produce an inquiry listing where records from file A
do not have a matching record in file B. In WRKQRY, I would use join type
'3' (Unmatched records with primary file). It would select, from the
primary file, only records that have no match in the secondary file.

Is it possible to create a join logical file with this type of unmatched
logic? I was unable to find anything describing this in the DDS or the DB2
manuals.

If not, can it be accomplished through OPNQRYF or SQL. And if it can, could
someone please post an example? Basically, I want to select records from
file A in which the item number is not found in the Item Master (file B).

TIA,
Dan Bale
