Turn on record separators. Change the outq desc. do an WRKOUTQD, then do F13 to change (the writer must be ended). Change the following parameter: Job separators . . . . . . . . . 0 0-9, *SAME, *MSG Job separators (JOBSEP) - Help Specifies, for each job having spooled files on this output queue, the number of separators to be placed at the beginning of the printed output for each job. Each separator contains information that identifies the job such as its name, the job user's name, the job number, and the time and date when the job was run. The number of separators can range from 0 through 9. This parameter is used only by the printer writers, all other types of writers will ignore the value specified for this parameter. The possible values are: *SAME The number of job separators does not change. *MSG No job separators are placed before each job's output. Instead, a message is sent to the writer's message queue notifying the operator of the end of each job. number-of-job-separators Specify the new number (0 through 9) of separators placed before the output of each job.
