Howard,

I think I have code somewhere that does that. It may have been a copy of
something off News/400. I don't use it much anymore. For automated batch stuff
I'm looking at some third part tools. Which for your need is overkill.
However, if you have the Express client you can do this rather easily with Ops
Navigator. I use it for all ad hoc stuff. Got the idea from Roger Pence:

1.) Use Ops Nav to retrieve spool file (work with printed output, work with
printers, etc.)
2.) Drag desired report to desktop.
3.) Drag desired report from desktop to the body of the email and you are done.

For whatever reason you cannot do this in one step and must copy it to your
desktop first. Works great for ad hoc stuff.

Some while ago there was a post about a program that took a spoolfile and
sent it back to the PC (or sent it via email).

Does anyone remember what that was and where it might be? Any other ideas
about spoolfile forwarding might help as well. I was asked about sending the
output from Gentran to technicians outside of our area (not programmers or
operators) and am really looking for a way to send the spoolfiles via email.
The catch is, the recipients do not necessarily have 400 access and we have
security restrictions that might shoot down email (although I am willing to
apologize vs. ask for permission on this).
