Is anyone using ONLY a router (Cisco) to protect their AS400 running
Domino as a web server? With the withdrawal of IBM's firewall, we're
getting some recommendation to use just the router. Is this feasible?

My clients are going to go one of two very different ways. Either the
Cisco PIX firewall, or a Linux server set up as a proxy/firewall. Both
solutions are working in at least two cases now and both clients are happy
with them. The Linux servers are Pentium 200Mh machines with 256meg and
two ethernet cards. Nothing special in the hardware, and they work great.
(and inexpensive)
