This all boils down to a marketing question. From the AS/400 ads you see
(what few IBM AS/400 ads you do see) you'd get the feeling that IBM uses
the AS/400 marketing department as a training ground for new recruits,
and once they prove that they can successfully string together two
sentences they are yanked off the AS/400 team and put in some other
area.

Have you seen the cool ad for Sun, the kinda James Bond movie ad? Thats
the stuff the AS/400 needs.
