Most API's can be monitored by checking for the optional error data structure. But IBM left that feature out of qsnddtaq. The problem I am having is that I am using a remote data queue, and on occasion the comm is down. Do I need to: A) Take the call out of RPGILE and call a separate CL program, B) Wrap the call to qsnddtaq around a call to QCAPCMD C) Any of your fine suggestions? My goal is to: if error VRYCFG remote *off dlyJOB VRYCFG remote *ON DLYJOB retry If still error snd email die 'cause in this case the VRYCFG did the trick. But that is tangential. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
