I have my NT and my 400 userid/password the same including case.  I 
know there are some security concerns about this but it just made some 
things work better, namely remote commands.  I don't know if this will help you.

We're using the 'start multiple sessions' method.  Each gets that little
grey screen.

I have a drive mapped with reconnect at logon.  I do _not_ get prompted
for my AS/400 password at Windows startup.  This is what has changed
from V3R1M3.
