Printer problem with large reports. -- MIDRANGE-L

I'm running into a problem printing large reports with an IBM Pageprinter
3116.  I've already talked to IBM support about this but they do not have
any idea what the problem could be.  Right now when we print reports that
are about 1000 pages, the printer just stops and it has to be restarted with
the page number that the report ended on.  This has only started happening,
I'm told, since going to V4R4M0.  Has anyone else had this problem and had
it fixed?  The error message that I'm getting is below along with the
printer device configuration.
