Well yes and know. It saves space in that the first reused record does not cause a file extension. On the other, once the file is fill (zero deleted records) nit not only doesn't save you space, but it causes you a little additional because of some overhead that the re-use function causes. I don't remember the algorithm, bit I vaguely remember that it's one byte of overhead for each eight records plus a fixed amount, but don't take this to the bank.
