Sure.  But then you have to define each field.  You can still REF, 
but you do have to list every field.  Could be a pro/con.  If you 
add fields to the physical you don't have to recompile all the programs 
using the logical, unless you add these fields to the logical, or 
change sigificant attributes about the fields.

Greetings;

Is it possible to have a Logical file with a different record format name than
the physical that it is over?  Looking for a different way instead of renaming
the record format name in the RPG.
