Hey David,

What do you think about the idea of creating another email list that 
would handle attachments only.  It would be great, if when someone 
sends an attachment to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com that you 
automatically let the message go through without the attachment for 
the digest folks and sent the same email to 
MIDRANGE-LA@midrange.com with the attachments included.  
Then everyone would be happy.  If people wanted attachments they 
could subscribe to both lists.  Yes they would get two emails and if 
they are smart they can sort their incoming emails by subject so 
they would both be together.  That way the digest folks (and anyone 
else that didn't want attachments) would never get attachments.

PS:             If you are having trouble separating emails with attachments 
maybe you could share your dilemmas.  You never know if 
someone on a tech list might be able to help or not.  :-)
