Deb -- I have seen the message you indicated, it meant my modem couldn't dial out successfully. In my case there was a problem with the Service Director configuration (using the wrong resource name on the AS/400). You should be able to check the S.D. config through the menus, but if you get stumped you may want to contact your C.E. The C.E. may be able to handle "over the phone". The "go service" command takes me into the Service Director main menu, which has an option to look at/change the config.
