I use Mochasoft myself.  It is not exactly freeware, but shareware,
but very very reasonable.

The pricing is $25 for a single user, $250 for a company license.

It only does 5250, none of that other stuff (although it will do screen
shots of course).

Also, it is 30 day evaluation (it is not crippleware though, it continues to
function after the 30 days).
