Hi Peter, I would assume "merely" difficult (I should point out that I know nothing about writing compilers - better suited to Hans and Barbara). I guess what I was really saying was that the checking etc. of bindings for service programs is a function of CRTPGM, whereas the compile checking is performed by the CRTBNDRPG command.
