As a general rule of thumb, all you have to do is put the CD in the drive
and do GO PTF option 8, and it's done.

LODPTF puts the PTF on your system, but does not apply it. The module of
code is put on your system with a pseudo name.

APYPTF *TEMP, applies the PTF temporarily. This means rename the name of
the real code to an alternative pseudo name, and rename the other pseudo
name to the correct name.

APYPTF *PERM deletes the alternative pseudo name module.

There are cases where option 8 alone does not work, but that's documented
in the cover letter.
